Gay couple home for the Holidays....fa la la la...

Well it's happening more and more, gay people are bringing their partners home to Mom and Dad's for the Christmas holidays. That's always fun, do you ask where you are going to sleep... dare you ask to sleep in the same room ? What about all those relatives, there's always that someone who has something to say about "homosexuality". Oh yea and what about that Christmas Eve church service, should you go...what will the church people say?

If your a gay couple it's only natural to want to spend the Christmas holidays together, but it does bring up certain issues. What if your a married gay couple, (or not a married gay couple), do you tell your parents ahead of time that you plan to sleep in the same room together ? Should you just assume that your parents will let you sleep together? What will other members of your family have to say about it?

Then there's always that one relative or guest, who will bring up something about " gays" usually after dipping into the eggnog five too many times. Maybe this year you'll just tell them how they are overdosing on cholesterol from all those eggs in it? Or should you just grin and bear it?

Oh and don't you love a how a church congregation likes to talk and how you'll probably be a "discussion" for a while after showing up together for the Christmas Eve church service together. Hmm maybe this year you should walk in holding hands with your partner?
